1. Perth
Your holiday begins in the city of Perth. If feeling the need to unwind, enter Kings Park and enjoy a botanic garden with over 3,000 species of plants, and tours of Aboriginal history. Head up to The Bell Tower and stand over a city that gives easy access to the winelands, bushlands and a beachy coast that flanks the city.
2. Margaret River
The town of Margaret River has it all: world-class vineyards, horseback rides through water, and breaking waves that invite surfers to ride a wave at Surfers Point. Fly a kite as you stroll a boardwalk before dipping into these pearly blue water for a swim. Later, as the sun dips out of view and stars scatter the sky, open a bottle by the ocean after eating fish and chips.
3. Rottnest Island
Get ready for the Rottnest Island experience, a place of sumptuous sandy beaches, bucket loads of flora, and home to the world's cutest animal, the Quokka. Rottnest is a short ferry ride from the shores of the western coast. Take in the stunning views of land and water as you move across the Indian Ocean by boat.
4. Fremantle
End your journey at Fremantle Prison. Listed as a World Heritage Site the prison and active from 1855, try to contain yourself as you move through corridors lined with cells that lead towards underground tunnels used as escape routes. Some of Britain’s worst criminals were shipped here, but today the prison acts as a historical landmark.
